OUR  HISTORY

   
Elegant Eating was born out of Myra Naseem' s house in 1985 .  Soon, the volume of work made it necessary to move out of the small space into a Stony Brook store. Elegant Eating established itself in business in 1987 with the formation of a partnership between Myra Naseem and Neil Schumer, officially becoming Elegant Eating, Ltd. 

Over the years, this upscale, off-premise catering business became highly recognized in the Three Village Area and many other parts of Long Island.

Through word of mouth,  this unique food service company  has evolved into one with an impeccable reputation not only for fine foods, uniquely presented, but also customer service focusing on the smallest details, served by a well-trained professional staff. Their commitment to excellent service has resulted in a large number of faithful clients  and an ever-growing number of referrals. 

As a Home Economics teacher with 30 years of teaching experience, Ms. Naseem has  taught her  staff to be skilled in high quality food preparation, and provide excellent customer service.  Mr. Schumer uses his degree in business administration to manage the operations of the catering and gift basket business. Together, they work to make your experience with Elegant Eating unforgettably good.
